Writers' Conferences 2018

Erin McEndree shared a link. June 2, 2018. Hey there! Let’s all post Writing Conferences! I’m in Fort Worth/Dallas area and here is one!! Wouldn’t it be cool for a group from here to all go at once and meet in person!!

www. Roaringlambs.org

I used to go to this one until they moved it to Summer! It is really great! Contest to enter! (I am!) I’m going this year!!

This is where I got my first writing job! I met a lady who was the editor of a magazine and she told me to send her an article to review. I didn’t have one so I went and interviewed my sis-n-law who raised organic chickens and wrote about it. I wrote for them for 7 years (until the recently told us writers to water down God and change client’s quotes if we had to. NOPE! Conferences are great to Network and get leads!!

Terri Lacher Thank you for putting up the information regarding Roaring Lambs! I live about three and a half hours from Plano on the other side of Nacogdoches, Texas - I would love to attend this conference and have an opportunity to meet you and other local Christian authors.

LaDonnajack Holloman Fall Conference 2018 November 2-4, Charlotte The Fall Conference attracts hundreds of writers from around the country and provides a weekend full of activities that include lunch and dinner banquets with readings, keynotes, tracks in several genres, open mic sessions, and the opportunity for one-on-one manuscript critiques with editors or agents. Conference faculty include professional writers from North Carolina and beyond. Held every year in a major hotel, the conference rotates annually. **Registration opens on or around September 1, 2018**

Jessica Fortenberry Southern Christian Writer's Conference in Tuscaloosa, AL, next weekend, June 8 - 9. Several group sessions, several workshops. Chance to sell our books and meet with an agent. A friend went last year and my husband and I are going this year. We've never been to a conference before, so we're both excited.

Emily Wickham Thank you, Erin, for asking us to share about conferences - it's fantastic to hear about other ones from people who've attended. I just returned from the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference held at Ridgecrest in Black Mountain, NC. It's fantastic - about 500 attendees and great faculty. I'm also planning to attend the Asheville Christian Writers Conference in Feb. 2019 held at the Cove in Asheville, NC. It's smaller - about 200 attendees. I love this one, too. And, I'm scheduled to teach there for the first time! Super excited - and a bit nervous :). PS the ACWC seems to always sell out, so if you're interested, I'd register before the summer ends. https://www.blueridgeconference.com http://www.ashevillechristianwritersconference.com

Margaret Lalich In March I attended the Mt. Hermon Christian Writer's Conference and loved every minute of the 4 day experience in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California (Bay area). I'm registered for next year. SO much fabulous information, spiritual support, and networking opportunity with agents, writers, and friends. March 2019 - Y'all come !!!
